It is Wonderful to see old friends and new faces from the 2008 memorial blood drive. I wish I could hug everyone of you. . . especially Dave Dz who was there when we started it all - I am still proud of our "1999" cohort when we all met Amanda for the first time.
Thank you all for giving of your heart and time! Love, Mags
Ditto. As I put together the slide show, I was so thrilled to see so many friendly faces. It was hard not to be there with you all. But, it turns out you didn't need us anyway. (Which feels good and bad all at the same time). :-) Thank you ALL!
Amanda passed away on January 21st, 2003 while a doctoral candidate in the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences. Her passion for health communication was rooted in both her personal and academic understanding of the healthcare system. Amanda committed her time and energy to encourage blood and organ donation. As we do the same, her spirit remains with us.
